Who we are
We are WAO, a real estate company that designs, builds and runs spaces dedicated to contemporary working and living. Our vision is to create a network of places animated by people committed to building a better world: we do it by turning existing buildings into living, well-kept structures woven into the neighbourhood and the city.
We work with and for startups, scale-ups and new generations of workers who seek flexibility, connection and experience quality — in services and in everyday living. We're a young, fast-growing team with a concrete, accountable, execution-driven approach.
Role & responsibilities
You won't be stuck in an office. As the property's operations lead you'll be the real engine of the complex, focused on operations, service quality and guest experience.
- Operations & P&L: You'll own the P&L: managing revenue and costs, making sure the property is a solid, efficient profit centre.
- Operations & facility management: From cleaning to maintenance, you'll guarantee quality standards. We're not looking for someone who delegates, but for someone who makes sure things are done well.
- Team leadership: You'll coordinate the property staff: training, motivating and planning to build a cohesive team that makes every guest feel at home.
- Networking & resident experience: You'll manage relationships, mediate issues and work to constantly raise the Net Promoter Score (NPS). You'll represent WAO with the neighbourhood, partners and local authorities, making the property a landmark for the Certosa District.
Who we're looking for
- Experience, open mind: You have solid experience in hospitality venues but can run hospitality with an entrepreneurial spirit.
- Operations focus: Your focus is operations, not just sales: you can run a team, fix a maintenance problem and welcome a guest.
- Ready for complexity: You've held positions of responsibility in hospitality (or similar) and you're ready to run a complex property, even if you've never formally held the Director title.
- Mindset & numbers: Operational, empathetic, fast at solving problems and concrete. You know revenue management basics and finance (you can read a P&L).
